And then trying to kind of find the swing debts which in you. And let that happen naturally and in work from that. Pat says something very interesting is that you can't change the configuration. Of a swing very easily. Although. In some respects it can be altered. But we we all do have natural. A natural swing and a sense. And it's either are limited by your physical. Makeup. This time you have to practice things like that so I am really. Adamantly. Opposed to. Instructors. That teach one way or one thing and say that this this hat. Fits all sizes. It doesn't. I think a good instructor looks. For what will work for that particular student. And that takes a heck of a lot more concentration. On the part of the of the teacher and more communication. With the students CF to be a little better listener a better observer. And a lot less of a talker. What and the other and the other piece of that and we talked about this before if you're gonna go and get serious about golf. And and work with an instructor on a regular basis you as the student have some responsibility. Want to be realistic with an accepting of what your instructor is telling you. I I don't know that I can hit it 300 yards that's just not gonna happen all go win there and be upset that you're not doing it if I did it were acting. It about 250. You know unless I wanna start going with a huge you know Tiger Woods worked out regiment and apple cup and all that stuff but. I'm just not gonna do well and even if you bumped up like Tiger Woods and I've got. Bad news I'm not getting it anywhere under you can't hit it 300 but it's gonna take you to swings to get there the. You talk about commitment and having realistic goals. And I interview a student a new student in Iowa have him fill out an index card. With you know various statistics how long have you played blah blah blah but the Thing that I asked them is why are you here why do you wanna learn golf why do you want to improve. And I hit a variety of answers but He usually. In a way states what that. Students level of commitment is. And what their expectations. now are IR. And I will let them know right up front I will always meet your level of commitment and Iowa. tried to reached your level of expectation. So you've got to look at what your expectations are make sure they're realistic. And so is it a scoring. Thing that Wright would make you happy or do you wanna just hit three in her yard drive. And and so. I like the student to understand first of all what's your goal and then secondly now we can have a plan to get to those that go. And I asked them please don't second guess will work on this together. But trust the fact that I understand where you're coming from and now says the experience to get choose there. IE eight will also have students take notes. I used to fill them out for them now I want them right to it to fill out their notes and I. Read them when they're done and usually SA after the last to go home right down a couple of bring it back yeah. It's not a test which is gonna see. Whether what I said is what you heard.
